Laura Padilla is a Partner on the Portfolio Growth team and Head of Business Development. In her role, she is responsible for providing strategic counsel to Sapphire’s portfolio companies across their business development needs. In addition, she oversees Sapphire’s vast enterprise and leading cloud company CIO and CXO network, connecting portfolio companies with new customers and partners, ultimately driving revenue acceleration for Sapphire’s portfolio.
Laura brings almost 20 years of leadership experience in leading and building complex business units and new revenue streams to scale private companies such as Zoom, Nutanix, Box and Riverbed to +$1B post-IPO revenue. Laura held leadership positions across marketing, alliances and business development, and partner and channel sales roles in the SaaS, enterprise software and hardware industries.
She was most recently the VP of the Greenlake Marketplace and ISVs at HPE where she was building the cloud marketplace and ISV strategy. Prior, she was Head of Channel and BD at Zoom, scaling the organization to a team of over 300 and $500M in ARR. Before Zoom, Laura led strategic and technology alliances at Nutanix, where she managed a team of ISV, hardware and cloud partner managers. She is known as a function builder where her strength is in scaling new organizations to drive incremental revenue and customer value.
In her spare time, Laura enjoys hiking, playing tennis or enjoying time with her husband of 15 years, Frederic and their two daughters, Luna and Amelie. An avid foodie, Laura loves to cook and try new recipes and restaurants.
