Xiaoping is Vice President, Data & Analytics at Sapphire Ventures. She is responsible for building scalable solutions to empower the firm’s data-driven decision making in investing and portfolio management.

Prior to joining Sapphire, Xiaoping led the data science and engineering efforts at CapitalG, where she primarily focused on improving sourcing, pipeline prioritization, and workflow efficiency for the fund. Before CapitalG, she spearheaded alternative data initiatives for hedge funds at a top funded startup. Xiaoping started her career as a Senior Consultant at Ernst & Young, addressing emerging needs of effective and efficient data science solutions for large banks.

Xiaoping got her BSc in Mathematics from Xi’an Jiaotong University in China and holds a PhD in Statistics from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
