About David
David leads the Infrastructure & DevOps Center of Excellence for the Sapphire Portfolio Growth team. In this role, he supports the technical leaders (VPEs, CTOs) in Sapphire’s portfolio, helping them to scale both their organizations and architectures through strategy guidance, peer learnings, playbooks, partner connectivity and other value-add services.
He joined Sapphire from JP Morgan Chase, where he led DevOps strategy for the Global Technology organization – a role focused on maintaining the pulse of cloud and DevOps industry trends, partnering closely with startups, facilitating PoCs and evaluations, and developing emerging tech adoption strategies. Prior to corporate strategy, he worked as a network engineer with a focus on L4-L7 services (proxies, web app firewalls, etc). Before JPMC, he developed web-based ERP systems in the manufacturing industry.
David graduated from the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona with a degree in Management Information Systems. He lives in Austin with his wife and two dogs and enjoys camping, rock climbing, and BBQ.
