Paul joined Sapphire Ventures in 2018 and leads investments in fintech, SMB software, and vertical SaaS. He brings 20+ years of experience as an operator and leader of high-growth organizations including Trulia, Zillow Group, Yahoo!, and E*TRADE. Paul is a board member at Collectly, Degreed, Restream and Side. He led Sapphire Ventures’ investments in Mercury and Tonal, and is active with investments in Current, GorgiasPodium, and Splashtop. Paul’s previous investments include AvidXchange (NASDAQ: AVDX).

Prior to joining Sapphire, Paul was president and COO of Trulia, where he helped lead Trulia’s transformation from a private 100-person company with $20 million in revenue, to a successful standalone public company and to its eventual merger with Zillow Group (NASDAQ: ZG) to create a company with more than 3,000 employees, $1 billion in revenue and $10 billion in market capitalization.

Before Trulia and Zillow Group, Paul held leadership roles in product, marketing and general management at Yahoo!, E*TRADE, CurrentTV, and AdBrite. He has been an investor and/or advisor to over 25 tech startups, ranging from early-stage startups to growth-stage companies.

Paul holds a bachelor’s in economics and English from Amherst College, and an MBA from Stanford University.
