Vlad is an Associate on the Sapphire Sport team, joining in 2024 on secondment from City Football Group. He focuses on investing in and supporting early-stage technology companies at the intersection of sports, media, and entertainment technologies.

Prior to joining Sapphire, Vlad worked within the Strategy & Ventures team at City Football Group, where he focused on football club acquisitions and the delivery of strategic projects. Previously, Vlad was an investment analyst for LeadX Capital Partners in Munich, sourcing and investing in B2B SaaS companies. Before his time at LeadX, Vlad worked at NAD Capital, a venture capital fund based in Munich that focused on investing in early-stage electric mobility businesses.

Vlad holds an MSc in Finance from Nova SBE and a BSc in Financial Economics from Coventry University. Born in Romania and raised in Italy, Vlad is currently based in London and enjoys playing padel, football, and long-distance running.
