Sarah is Associate General Counsel at Sapphire Ventures, where she focuses on corporate transactions and direct investments, deal structuring and negotiation, exits across the venture ecosystem and general corporate, governance and compliance matters. Sarah works closely with the direct investing and operations teams and engages in a range of legal activities across the firm.
Prior to joining Sapphire Ventures, Sarah was an associate at Jackson Walker in Austin, where she practiced in the areas of private equity, mergers and acquisitions, fund formation, and general corporate and securities matters. She also served on Jackson Walker’s Recruiting Committee and served as a mentor to Texas law students through firm initiatives with the Center for Women in Law. Before attending law school, Sarah worked as a tech consultant in the enterprise software sector at Oracle. During law school, Sarah clerked at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Texas, ExxonMobil’s patent division and served as a member of the Barbara Jordan Inn of Court.
Sarah holds a JD from the University of Texas Law School with honors and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas in Chemistry.
