Prior to joining Sapphire Ventures, Michelle was the Controller at RiverRock Funds, where she was responsible for the financial reporting, audits, taxation, and treasury of the portfolio funds and management companies. Before moving to Austin, Michelle was a Senior Audit Associate at BKD, LLP (now Forvis, LLP) specializing in privately held commercial real estate investment, oil & gas, and SaaS companies.

Michelle earned her Masters in Accountancy and BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Texas. In her free time, Michelle enjoys working out, kayaking and paddleboarding on the lake, and keeping up with her energetic husband and toddler.
