At Sapphire, Mackenzie will focus on identifying and evaluating early-stage investment opportunities across B2C, B2B2C, and B2B businesses selling into consumer-facing enterprises.

Prior to joining Sapphire Sport, Mackenzie was an investment analyst at Battery Ventures in San Francisco, focusing on sourcing growth and later stage B2B vertical SaaS businesses. Before Battery, Mackenzie worked for DBO Partners, an investment bank based in the SF Bay Area focused on technology and software sell side transactions.

Mackenzie graduated from Stanford University, where she majored in Human Biology with a focus on Medical Entrepreneurship and Policy. At Stanford, she was a member of the women’s lacrosse team where she was a 2x Pac-12 champion. She hails from Bainbridge Island, Washington and loves the Pacific Northwest. Mackenzie enjoys skiing, live music, travel, Taylor Swift, being in the outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.
