Prior to joining Sapphire Ventures, Justin worked at Maverick Ventures, an early to growth stage venture capital manager focusing on the healthcare and technology sectors. At Maverick, he was responsible for the firm’s external reporting, financial audits, valuation, treasury, and fund administration. Justin began his career in the audit practice at KPMG US LLP, where he led audits of financial statements and internal controls for both publicly traded and privately held clients. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Masters of Accountancy from Baylor University and is an active CPA license holder.

A Texas native, Justin grew up in central Texas, about an hour outside of Austin. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors with his family, attending live music events, and playing golf.
