Jai is a managing director at Sapphire Ventures who invests in startups he believes are developing ground-breaking products and services in the areas of pervasive analytics, next-gen AI, software defined infrastructure, cloud and mobile computing, IoT and AR/VR. He has more than 15 years of experience helping companies innovate their product and marketing strategies in order to scale and become market leaders.

Prior to joining Sapphire Ventures in 2006, Jai worked at Intel Capital, Agilent Ventures (formerly Hewlett Packard) and MVC Capital (a Draper Fisher Jurvetson affiliate). He began his career as a software engineer at Oracle and then moved into product management. Jai has a BS in electrical engineering from Brown University and an MBA from University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, where he received the George Hay Brown Prize for academic excellence.
