
Stanley leads business development and product functions across the Business Applications portfolio for the Sapphire Portfolio Growth team. In this role, he supports the GTM leaders (CROs, VPs of Sales) and technical leaders (CPOs, CIOs) in Sapphire’s portfolio, helping them to scale both their organizations and product reach through strategy partnerships, peer learnings, expert networks, and other value-add services.
He joined Sapphire Ventures with 15 years of partnerships, business development, product and investment experience across tech and banking. He most recently served as a Vice President on the Growth Team at CapitalG, Alphabet’s independent growth fund, where he led Partnerships and Product advisory efforts. Prior to CapitalG, Stanley led Health Product Partnerships for Google Search, where he was awarded the inaugural Google Tech Impact and Search Tech Impact Awards from Sundar Pichai, and steered COVID-19 Product Partnerships.
Previously, he co-founded a fintech startup in Area 120, Google’s internal accelerator, in which he connected emerging market startups to funding and expertise. Stanley first entered the tech ecosystem as employee #10 of a cloud-based government technology startup (acquired by Kofile) where he led business development. He began his career as an algorithmic sales trader at Goldman Sachs in New York and holds a BS in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University. Originally from Nigeria, he grew up in Maryland and is a passionate football fan—(cheering for the Baltimore Ravens).
