Adam Liu is a Vice President on the Growth investment team at Sapphire Ventures, where he focuses on infrastructure software, AI/ML, developer tools, data, and cybersecurity. Since joining in 2021, Adam has been involved in investments including Cyera, Rewst, Weights & Biases, Glean, Defense Unicorns, Tractian, Zesty, Yugabyte, and Constructor. He currently serves as a board observer for Rewst, Zesty, and Defense Unicorns.

Prior to Sapphire, Adam worked in Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Technology Investment Banking Group, advising on multi-billion dollar IPOs and M&A transactions across the software and internet sectors. He also brings operating and investing experience from roles at Light Street Capital, Yahoo!, and early-stage startups.

Adam graduated with distinction from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.S. in Business Administration. From Palo Alto, he’s an avid marathon runner, triathlete, golfer, and watch enthusiast.
