Nathan is a Senior AI Engineer at Sapphire Ventures, where he focuses on building AI systems to supercharge Sapphire’s investment operations.

Prior to Sapphire, Nathan spent three years at NFX Ventures as a Data and AI Engineer, building ML and generative AI systems that powered the firm’s deal sourcing and diligence workflows. He also led workshops on the state of generative AI tools for internal teams and technical leadership across NFX portfolio companies. Earlier, Nathan held data and AI roles at Sapphire portfolio companies Netskope and DataRobot, and founded 3StandardYardsticks, a game studio building AI-native experiences with strong network effects.

Nathan holds a B.S. in Computer Science from UC Santa Cruz. Outside of work, he rock climbs, volunteers, and blows Venetian-style glass.
