Charles joined Sapphire Ventures as the Head of Strategy and Operations for the Portfolio Growth Platform with over a decade of experience that span across strategy, operations, and entrepreneurship . The Portfolio Growth team works closely with portfolio companies to provide strategic support across a range of topics, including go-to-market, business development, executive recruiting, and international expansion, among other functional areas. In his role, Charles works to scale and enhance the delivery of the Sapphire PG platform to portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Sapphire, Charles held roles as a founding member of an early-stage cybersecurity startup, operations at Softbank Vision Fund, and strategy consulting at Ernst & Young (EY-Parthenon). Charles has worked with numerous companies to accelerate revenue growth and retention, enter new markets, design customer success models, build operating models, and activate M&A.

Charles holds his MBA from UC Berkeley and his bachelors from Cornell University. He grew up in Texas and Alabama before moving to the Bay Area. He is an avid traveler and hiker with his wife and kids.
